A prayer against apathy

Lord, sometimes we are too busy and need to slow down.
Sometimes we slow down too much and lose our motivation
– protect us from apathy.

It is easy to put things off,
It is easy to see the problem but not pray about it.
It is easy to treat ourselves kindly but not make an effort for others.
It is easy to say that things are too difficult and avoid looking for solutions.
It is easy to waste time rather than spending it with you.
It is easy to settle for a quiet life and avoid adventures in your service.
Please be our guide and help us to make the right choices for ourselves and for our community. Amen.
